Fair Usage Policy
At LOFT Serviced Offices, we aim to provide flexible, all-inclusive workspaces while encouraging responsible and sustainable energy use. To ensure fairness for all occupiers, we operate a fair usage policy for electricity consumption.
Electricity Allowance
Each serviced office unit includes an electricity allowance of £40 per month as part of your licence agreement. This allowance is designed to comfortably cover typical day-to-day business use, including lighting, standard office equipment, and general power consumption.
Gas Allowance
Each unit also includes a £25 per month gas allowance, where applicable. This is designed to cover normal heating requirements during regular business use.
For units fitted with electric heaters instead of gas, the £25 gas allowance will be added to the electricity allowance, increasing the total monthly electricity allowance accordingly.
Excess Usage Charges
If your unit’s electricity usage exceeds the monthly £40 allowance, any additional consumption will be charged separately. These charges will be calculated based on actual usage and applied at the prevailing electricity rate.
Where possible, we will notify you if your usage is consistently above the included allowance, allowing you the opportunity to review and manage consumption before additional charges are incurred.
Responsible Energy Use
We encourage all occupiers to use energy efficiently by:

Switching off lights and equipment when not in use

Avoiding high-consumption appliances not typically associated with office use

Using energy-efficient devices wherever possible
- Switch off electric radiators when not in use
This approach helps us maintain competitive pricing, reduce environmental impact, and ensure a fair experience for all businesses within LOFT Serviced Offices.
